Silicone or saline
Most patients here choose silicone for how it feels and moves, particularly with thinner tissue coverage. Saline remains a reasonable option and is filled through a smaller incision. Both are FDA approved. You will hold both at your consultation before deciding anything.
Over or under the muscle
Under the muscle gives more coverage over the upper edge of the implant and is the usual choice for thinner patients. Over the muscle can suit patients with more of their own tissue. The exam decides — it is about your coverage, not a preference.
How the 3D sizing actually works
We photograph you on a 3D imaging system and place candidate implants on your own body, so you see the result from every angle rather than guessing from a catalogue. We then confirm with sizers in a fitted bra. It is included at no cost.

Book with a named surgeon, not a call center

“I would rather talk you out of an operation than do one you will regret. At your consult I draw on you, show you the 3D, and tell you plainly what I will not do.”
Book with Dr. Careaga“The 3D scan is what sold me. I saw three sizes on my own body and picked the one that looked like me, not like someone else.”
“I came in for implants and he told me I needed a lift instead. He was right. I trust a surgeon who talks me out of things.”

Questions about breast augmentation in miami
How much does it hurt, and what will I be given for it?+
You are asleep under general anesthesia with a board-certified anesthesiologist. The first 48 hours feel like heavy pressure across the chest, more so if the implant sits under the muscle. You leave with a written pain plan and most patients step down to ordinary painkillers between day three and five.
How do I know what size to pick?+
You do not pick from a catalogue. We scan you in 3D and place candidate implants on your own body so you see it from every angle, then confirm with sizers in a fitted bra. That step is included.
Do I need a lift as well?+
It depends on where your nipple sits relative to the fold under your breast, not on volume. An implant alone in a breast that has descended looks larger, not lifted. Dr. Careaga will show you that measurement on your own exam.
Can I breastfeed afterwards?+
Many patients can, and incisions are chosen with that in mind when you tell us it matters. No surgeon can promise it — some people cannot breastfeed regardless. Raise it at the consultation and it changes how the operation is planned.
How long do implants last?+
They are not lifetime devices. Plan for the possibility of a revision at some point, and know a manufacturer warranty covers rupture. None of that is unusual or hidden.
