Primary or revision — they are different operations
A first rhinoplasty works with untouched anatomy. A revision works through scar tissue, often with cartilage already removed, and frequently needs grafting from the septum, ear or rib. Revision is planned in stages and takes longer to settle. Say which you are at the consultation — it changes everything about the plan.
Functional and cosmetic are not separate surgeries
If you have a deviated septum or collapsed valves, that is corrected in the same operation. A cosmetic change that costs you an airway is a failed rhinoplasty, not a trade-off worth making.
Your skin decides how sharp the result can be
Thin skin shows every underlying detail — good and bad. Thick skin drapes over definition and holds swelling far longer. Dr. Ramos will tell you which you have and what it realistically allows.

Recovery, and the honest timeline
Book with a named surgeon, not a call center

“A face has to work on your bone structure, not on someone else's. If what you are asking for will not sit right on you, I will say so.”
Book with Dr. Ramos“Dr. Ramos spent forty minutes on my nose before mentioning surgery. He fixed my breathing and nobody can tell I had anything done.”
“I wanted to look rested, not tight. That is exactly what I got. My own sister asked if I had changed my hair.”

Questions about rhinoplasty in miami
How much does it hurt, and what will I be given for it?+
Rhinoplasty surprises almost everyone with how little it hurts — the real discomfort is congestion, not pain. You are asleep under general anesthesia with a board-certified anesthesiologist and you leave with a written pain plan.
When will my nose look final?+
You look presentable in about two weeks and the shape reads as normal to other people by six weeks. The tip keeps refining for a full year, longer with thick skin or after a revision. Any surgeon promising a final nose at one month is describing swelling.
Will it affect my breathing?+
It should improve it, or at minimum protect it. A deviated septum or collapsed valve is corrected in the same operation.
Can I bring a photo of the nose I want?+
Bring several, and bring noses you dislike too — that tells Dr. Ramos more. What he will not do is copy a nose that cannot sit on your bone structure, and he will say so.
Do you do revision rhinoplasty?+
Yes, including cases from other surgeons. Revision is technically harder, often needs grafting and is planned in stages. Expect a longer conversation and a longer timeline.
